Canada eTA

Electronic Travel Authorization Application Agency

Menu

As long as your eTA is valid on the date of your arrival in Canada, you will not need to reapply for a new eTA.

It is acceptable to have an eTA expire after entry into Canada, but subsequent travel to Canada will require a new eTA. Your passport must be valid for your entire stay in Canada.

We strongly recommend you to apply for an extension of the etA document at least 30 days before its expiration.

Frederic

Frederic

In recent years, Frederic has frequently traveled to Canada, particularly in Quebec, where he has found love and is about to start a new business. Indeed, he is very close to opening an Italian restaurant in this particularly fascinating city.

His immigration status is in a sort of limbo, because thanks to the investment he has made, he has applied for a work visa, which has not yet been approved.

While waiting for the visa in Italy, Frederic requested an eTA Canada to go to Quebec and it was denied.

Frederic lives in Milan and on the advice of our customer service he went to the Canadian Consulate in his city, where he was informed that he would have to wait in Italy for the result of his visa application before he could go back to Canada.

So he did and after about 4 weeks our protagonist finally received his approved visa. And that’s how he opened the door to a new and exciting future in his beloved Canada.
