Electronic Travel Authorization Application Agency

Menu

Canada has had a visa policy for several years that has exempted a select group of countries from the need to apply for a visa before traveling to the country.

The country makes very serious analysis into its visitors and carefully looks at visa overstay rates, asylum claims, security issues and other factors to determine whether countries can remain on the visa exempt list or not.

In 2013, the Canadian government announced that it would be instituting an electronic travel authorization system similar to the one the United States introduced in 2009.

The purpose of the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is to pre-screen travelers from visa exempt countries before they enter Canada and ensure they meet Canada’s entry criteria.

Remember that you need to obtain your electronic travel permit prior to boarding your flight. You can receive your ETA in a few clicks by applying on our website https://canada-eta.co.uk/apply-for-eta/.
